Chow-Yun Fat first came to the attention of western audiences in the early 1990s with his role in the epic Hong-Kong action flick Hard Boiled; it was around this same time that he first started visiting the plastic surgeon’s office. The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star has admitted in interviws that he was getting routine blepharoplasties (eyelid surgeries) as early as 1989 in order to stop his eyelids from drooping too much. As he’s gotten older, he’s continued to get the eyelid surgeries as needed, but it looks like he also may be getting some Botox or Restylane injections, making his face look ultra-smooth and sometimes a bit puffy. As we all know, admitting to minor plastic surgeries tends to get people off your back about them, and since Chow-Yun Fat goes so far as to joke about the work that he’s had done, we have nothing to really give him guff about. Besides, he looks great for his age, and if we’re to believe movies, he can fly, so we’re going to let him be.

In a television interview in South Korea on Dragonball promotion duties he said, "As I grew older, my eyelids began to droop. I began going for cosmetic surgery in Hong Kong when I was filming The God Of Gamblers in 1989."

He even joked, "If you go to Hong Kong for cosmetic surgery, I can introduce you to the doctor. He's cheap and good."

Looks like men can be pretty vain too!

They say everything is bigger in Texas, but it looks like Essex is giving it a run for its money; look no further than Lauren Pope and Chloe Sims for proof. The two stars of The Only Way Is Essex, or TOWIE as they call it in the UK, recently both got some larger parts via plastic surgery, and they recently showed them off together. Pope had a health scare when she found out that she had PIP implants (they have a higher rupture rate), so she got them replaced and upsized to a DD cup in the process.

Sims on the other hand was perfectly happy with her EE breast implants, but was unhappy with her posterior size. She remedied this by getting a Brazilian butt lift, a surgery where fat from other parts of the body is injected and sculpted into the butt-parts (that’s a medical term folks). They both seemed happy with the results of their surgeries and were more than happy to put them on display. Britain may have lost the Revolution, but they’re starting to turn the tide in the battle for celebrity plastic surgery dominance.

Cheryl Tiegs is past the age of 60, I know it’s hard to tell through all that stretching and pulling. The former “Charlie’s Angel” actress appears to have taken an overdose of plastic surgery.  There’s a bit of controversy concerning the number of surgeries that Tiegs has had. Rumor has it she has gotten a breast augmentation, a few nose jobs, and a facelift. Her lips look injected with Juvederm or Restylane.

One surgeon stated that he would make a bet that the former “Charlie’s Angel” actress has had a few nose jobs, and one or two facelifts. Sounds about right to me. When Tiegs was confronted about having plastic surgery she admitted to using Botox just once but denied anything else.  Cheryl might be fooling some blind people but come on! Look at the before and after pictures. She used Botox once? This is the definition of bad plastic surgery. She looks like she’s had quite a lot of work done. Cheryl needs to layoff the plastic surgery. She already looks completely unnatural.

The face of former supermodel Cheryl Tiegs, age 60, is changing as she ages, but she says she hasn’t had plastic surgery.

Local cosmetic physicians are divided about whether Tiegs is telling all.

In a radio interview in Minnesota, where Tiegs was born, she flatly denied that she had altered her face surgically. The denial came in response to a question from radio show host Lori Barghini in March, when Barghini referred to speculation about cosmetic procedures:

“I point-blank asked her on the air and she said no,” Barghini said. “She is afraid of needles and she’s not injecting anything.”

Dr. Christopher Zachary, chairman of the Department of Dermatology at UC-Irvine, believes Tiegs.

Before-and-after photos that seem to show dramatic changes aren’t comparable because of differences in expression and lighting, he says:

 These differences, although not obvious to the uncritical eye, are of immense importance, and have been used by some to demonstrate the illusion of improvement. In this case, you should absolutely believe her, and she looks great without any help from the likes of me.

Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia of San Clemente, however, believes Tiegs has had multiple surgeries, including one or more face lifts, nose jobs (rhinoplasties), and perhaps breast implants:

    Since the seventies … I’d wager she’s had a few rhinoplasties. She has probably also had a face lift or two as her cheeks don’t seem to descend the way they should have over time.

    I found a few pics online indicating that she may have had breast implants in the late seventies or early-to-mid-eighties. At that time implants were smaller and easier to hide when a lady wanted to do so. She may have had them removed in more recent times as many women of the time did.

    I would advise her to take it easy on any large scale further work. Redos can be more difficult. Skin care and sun avoidance do well for all.

CherylTiegs says she once tried Botox, but stopped after one set of injections. She told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune in February:

    I tried it once, but it made me frown. People said, “What’s the matter, Cheryl, why are you frowning?” I have a skin-care line, Ageless Woman, and I use that.

CherylTiegs  is willing to talk about plastic surgery with her girlfriends, but she says it will never go beyond talk. “To have this spirit which is within, to nurture it, to pay attention to it rather than ignoring it and buying a bunch of new clothes and getting face lifts… That’s all exterior stuff which is fun to do, but it’s not going to make you beautiful without working on what’s going on inside.”

Cher has been partly open about having plastic surgery however people claim that she is not being open about how much time she has spent under the knife. I mean she’s not exactly hiding anything but we can’t expect her to provide a list and go into details either.

So let’s get specific about what has been going on:
1. Cher Facelift – this evident because her jaw line is much tighter than a regular 64 year old woman.
2. Cher Brow lift – her eyebrows now are even higher than they were when she was a girl.
3. Cher Botox injections – her forehead barely has wrinkles which is a bit unusual for her age.
4. Cher Lower blepharoplasty – she has no bags under her eyes.
5. Cher Rhinoplasty – this procedure has been good to her, even though she has had more than one.

However, most people think all her procedures have done an amazing job keeping her young, aside from a few pictures where she has been paparazzied without makeup and looking a little saggy. Some might make the case that her face is starting to look a little stretched and smoothed over. She always looks good when she is ready to make an appearance. She has been pretty smart with her image.

Our day would not be completed unless we addressed Ms. Cher. With her performance at the VMAs a few nights ago, lovingly wearing her *Turn Back Time* video outfit, she looked fabuloso! Let’s be realistic though. She is 64 and has had quite a bit of plastic surgery.

 Young Cher, who was considered and exotic beauty, had a slightly large, lop sided nose and a few snaggle teeth, like Jewel. But she was considered to be quite a cutie for that day and age.

Since going solo, she’s had so much done it is almost a crime. She doesn’t look young; she looks like a plastic version of a 64 year old Cher! As you can see in the picture above, this is what happens when you have plastic surgery and it starts to sag. Here she looks SO much older than 64, almost looking like an 80 year old in a retirement community.

Then, as we all see, she had another facelift in time to perform at the VMAs where, bodily, she could put these little teeny boppers to shame. You can tell she eats right and stays away from drugs and alcohol. But why would someone who takes such good care of their body not do the same for their face?!

Chastity To Chaz: The Ultimate Surgery

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again folks: in any plastic surgery argument, gender reassignment surgery wins. You can get all the boob jobs you want, but whoever goes under the knife to become a whole other sex is always going to be the more hardcore individual. So today we are talking about the gender reassignment of Chaz Bono from Dancing With The Stars and Celebrity Fit Club; a man who started out as Chastity Bono, the daughter of Sonny and Cher. There’s actually not much to say, except: It worked. Wow, she looks like her own brother now (in many pictures she also looks kind of like a bit player on The Sopranos, which is very much a compliment). She got her chest reshaped via breast augmentation (a reduction obviously), was given a whole lot of hormones (enough that she now grows a beard), and then most importantly was given…her manhood? Now he (see how we keep switching the gender, man we’re clever) walks the earth as a full on dude, and really looks the part. Congrats Chaz, and good luck on Dancing With The Stars. You’re the man!

Born Chastity Sun Bono, now known simply as Chaz, is the only child of singer/actress Cher and the late singer/actor/politician Sonny Bono.

Chaz Bono is a LGBT rights advocate, and has also dabbled in a bit of acting and writing, however he/she is best known for undergoing a female to male sex-change operation.

Long before making the decision to become a man, Chastity underwent breast reduction surgery in 1988. Perhaps an early indication of her impending sex change?

And in regards to the highly complex nature of gender reassignment operations, Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden elaborates on the issue.

Chastity has made the decision to embrace her identity as a male. The process may be done over an extended period of time in which many different procedures might be performed. Depending on the size of her breasts she may opt to have bilateral mastectomy to remove all of her breast tissues to obtain a more contoured flat chest. For gender reassignment she may or may not undergo a hysterectomy to remove her uterus, and then a penile implant may be done through phalloplasty as the final step of the overall process.

Furthermore, Chaz Bono's publicist Howard Bragman issued the following statement...

Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity.

He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones.

It is Chaz's hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his "coming out" did nearly 20 years ago.

Pop icon Cher sat in the audience and cried while watching her “son” Chaz Bono dance on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” Monday night. Prior to last week’s show, Cher, 65, had tweeted she would be in the audience if Chaz made it through to the next round. That probably explains why Chaz is still in the running.

“At last I’m finally free to be me!” declared the 42-year-old gay rights activist after undergoing a double mastectomy to remove her healthy breasts in 2009.

Chaz finally revealed the results of the operation when “he” removed “his” t-shirt recently. But the operation left pronounced scar tissue under her breasts which are clearly visible.

According to the National Enquirer, Dr. Harold Reed, a leading Miami-based surgeon specializing in transgender operations, who did not treat Chaz, said: “It appears to me Chaz’s doctor did not leave enough breast tissue in the chest to give him a more symmet­rical look.

“He’s quite heavy and his breasts now appear too flat for his body.”

Dr. Reed said Chaz was probably a “C or D cup” prior to the surgery. Chaz also takes male hormones to deepen the voice and grow facial hair.

According to Dr. Reed’s analysis, the surgeon began by removing the nipples and preserving them in saline solution. Following that, the surgeon then made an incision under the breasts and removed the breast tissue. Then the skin was pulled back over the area and the incision was sewn closed.At that point, the nipples were grafted back onto the chest.

“Chaz couldn’t be happier with the results,” the insider told the Enquirer. And now Chaz is considering the next step: “He’s contemplating cosmetically transform(ing) his female genitals to male,” said the insider.

Charlize Theron Doesn’t Need Plastic Surgery…Yet

Proving once again that she ‘s a class act, Snow White and the Huntsman star Charlize Theron has come out and said that while she has no need for plastic surgery in the near future, she makes no promises about the future. This goes against the Hollywood trend of denying having or wanting surgery and then getting it; it’s a very genuine statement. In a recent interview, the Prometheus star stated that she’s recognizes that she’s aging, but maintains no desire to have any work done. She did make a “never say never” statement though, admitting that she doesn’t know how she’ll feel in her sixties about plastic surgery. We’ve told you before that the Monster Academy Award winner has long been rumored to have had a nose job (rhinoplasty), but we admitted at the time that we weren’t sure if the rumors were true. So with that said, we’re going to believe Theron’s claims that she’s plastic free…for now.

She may not play ‘the fairest of them all’ in her upcoming movie Snow White and the Huntsmen, but Charlize Theron isn’t willing to go under the knife – yet!

In the new issue of Interview magazine, the 36-year-old opens up about aging and her opinions about plastic surgery – and RadarOnline.com has the details.

Sharing the cover with her costar Kristen Stewart, Charlize admits that she doesn’t look the same as she did in her younger years.

“I look in the mirror and my face is changing,” she explains, “and I have a different relationship all of a sudden with myself. Your face changes, things change—that's just kind of what happens.”

Theron, who recently adopted a baby boy, Jackson, is not bashful about sharing her struggles with vanity, due to the pressures of Hollywood.

“It's hard, though in this industry, because I think so much importance is put on how you look, and I'm not brave enough to be like, ‘You know what? I'm just going to let it happen. Whatever. I'm so cool with every line on my face.’  There are days when I definitely look in the mirror and go, ‘All right, I need to find a cream.’”

We can’t really say whether we think she got it or not, its just too close to tell, but we have to admit that the look of her nose has changed over the years. It looks thinner, specifically at the bridge, which would normally mean that she definitely has had work done, but her nose has a very recognizable tip, one that hasn’t really changed, so it’s also possible that she just got thinner as she’s gotten older. Charlize Theron is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Would she ruin those looks by going under the knife? Uh, no.

Charlize Theron might play an evil queen obsessed with youth and beauty in Snow White and the Huntsman, but in real life she's not that concerned with the tell-tale signs of aging. The actress featured in an Interview cover story with Kristen Stewart said she doesn't plan on going under the knife to fix any sags or wrinkles, thanks to a healthy sense of self instilled in her by her mother.

"I'm so grateful that I was raised by a mother who really instilled in me that my moral compass and achievements all had to come from a real place that had nothing to do with my beauty or how I looked. That was very big for her," Theron said in the interview.

The South Africa-born beauty does recognize the signs of aging, though.

"I'm also now in my mid-thirties, so I look in the mirror and my face is changing, and I have a different relationship all of a sudden with myself. Your face changes, things change that's just kind of what happens," she joked.

The adoptive mother of baby Jackson admitted that she might change her mind as she ages into her twilight years.

"Maybe it's different when you're in your mid-sixties. I don't know, so I don't want to make statements about where I'm gonna be in 30 years," Theron said. "But as of right now, I definitely have a different relationship with the way I look. It's not all-consuming. But I'm also human so I have days when I look in the mirror and go, 'All right ... Things are definitely changing.' I can see that."

These days, Charlie Sheen has become so famous for being a hard partying loose-cannon , that it’s easy to forget that the former Two and a Half Men star was once known for his talent and good looks. Charlie Sheen’s hit television show Two and a Half Men has been cancelled for the rest of the season, to the disappointment of many loyal fans. But although Charlie’s weekly appearances on primetime are now officially over, it seems that fans and not fans are seeing more of Charlie than ever, thanks to his fantastic exploits and frequent interviews. Seeing how Charlie looks lately, it seems that he could use some help from plastic surgery, in addition to that of a mental health professional.

45-year old Charlie Sheen has long been touted as one of Hollywood’s baddest bad boys. For a while there, it looked like he had reformed but since destroying a New York hotel room, it seems he’s been on a long and windy downward spiral.

At some point in his life, between marriages and movies, Charlie likely had rhinoplasty to get rid of the bump on his nose (See Make Me Heal’s story on Charlie Sheen’s plastic surgery).

Charlie’s brother, actor and director Emilio Estevez, has also been under the knife, as his ex-wife actress Denise Richards.

Emilio has likely had a browlift, rhinoplasty, and may have had an injectable filler to add volume to his cheeks. Emilio has hollows under his eyes and very arches brows indicating a possible browlift. His nose appears straighter and with a more rounded tip indicating a possible rhinoplasty. The lack of furrows on his forehead and lack of crow’s feet around the eyes indicate the use of injectable fillers like Botox, Restylane, and Juvederm (See Make Me Heal’s story on Emilio Estevez’s plastic surgery).

Denise has admitted to having three breast augmentations and likely also uses fillers like Radiesse as well as Botox to stay young and fresh (See Make Me Heal’s story on Denise Richards’ breast augmentation).

Partying with his “Goddesses” and appearing on every possible broadcast medium know to man, from the Internet to traditional television and radio talk shows, looks to have taken a toll on Charlie Sheen. Instead of focusing on tiger blood and flaming fists, Charlie may want to consider some good ole plastic surgery to cure what ails his tired features.

Since leaving rehab and embarking on a media frenzy, Charlie looks to have aged considerably. Loosing volume in his face and with bags under his eyes, Charlie either needs to stop talking and start sleeping or get some fat grafts and fillers like Sculptra placed in his face, especially in the hollows of his cheeks. He could also use eyelid surgery to take care of his sags and bags under his eyes. And a little Botox would definitely help eliminate the perpetually worried look caused by the 11 between his eyebrows, as well as relax the lines across his forehead and even his neck. Most likely, he could also do with some chemical peels or laser resurfacing with a laser treatment such as Fraxel.

Dr. Alexander Rivkin, a Yale-trained facial cosmetic surgeon and UCLA faculty member, with practices in Malibu and Westwood, says, “Charlie Sheen – the face of winning, the not so winning face of Charlie Sheen. The years of abusing his body with drugs have taken their toll on Sheen. Even TV makeup cannot hide the poor quality (in his case you can clearly see that his skin has lost much of its elasticity and hangs more loosely than it should in a guy his age) of his skin and the gauntness of his face. Drugs have accelerated the natural volume loss that befalls all of us with time. It seems like he could really benefit from Sculptra re-volumizing throughout his cheeks. The advantage to Sculptra is that it will also improve the quality of his skin through collagen stimulation. He could also do with some Juvederm filling of his tear troughs. The depth of the depressions of his tear troughs gives him the circles under his eyes that make him look more tired and haggard than he would otherwise. Filling of his nasolabial folds with Juvederm would be a good idea. I would guess that laser resurfacing would be nice, although I would have to see his skin without makeup to be sure.”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Charlie Sheen does look quite worn down recently.   To help improve his appearance he could use some Botox to his forehead to smooth out all the wrinkles and lines and some dermal fillers to improve the hollows below his eyes and around his cheeks.  Ultimately, nothing is going to make him look better until he is feeling better.”

Before embarking on plastic surgery, he should really visit a mental health professional, as many experts seem to think that Charlie’s recent rash behavior is the result of bipolar disorder.

On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “What the heck is going on with Charlie Sheen?  It seems the Charlie Sheen crash-and-burn publicity tour is exploding, with him giving the most revealing interviews seen since… well… ever!  Some people are speculating that he may be manic-depressive, others that he’s on drugs, and even others believe that he is just leading the lifestyle everyone else wants (he’s just ‘winning!”).  So what do I think?”

“First of all, I am not a psychiatrist, but I have some psychiatry training, mainly back in medical school where I spent several months working in a Maximum Security prison (you can read about that in my upcoming book In Stitches).  Although one cannot make a diagnosis based on TV interviews alone, all signs point to me that Charlie Sheen has bipolar disorder (manic depression). This is a psychiatric condition where a person goes back and for between episodes of mania and depression, often with relatively ‘normal’ intervals in between.  He currently appears to be in a manic state.  What symptoms of mania does he exhibit?
